Chch City Library Visit

Some staff from the City Library came to read us some stories.

The first story was called don't turn the page. It was really funny!

The next book was about a noisy rooster who keep the farmers awake. Some of us got to join in to help tell the story.

The next book was a Non-Fiction book about animals. It was fun guessing the animals from some of our favorite stories. 

Water safety with Life Jackets 8.3.17

As part of water safety we got to see what it was like to be in the water with a life jacket on. 

It was a lot of fun!

Junior Assembly

On Monday we has our first Junior Syndicate Assembly. In our assembly we sing a song, do the karakia and waiata, find out notices and someone from each class gets a certificate. 

We enjoy celebrating our friends success!

Swimming Lessons 9.2.17

On Thursday someone from Swim NZ came in to teach us some fun things to do in the pool.

We did some land based activities.

Then we tried some things in the pool.

It was a lot of fun!

Library Visit 10.2.17

On Friday we went for our first library visit. We enjoyed getting our library books for the first time this year.

Reading Games 1.2.17

Today we learnt to play and do some reading activities. 

Andre wrote some silly sentences.

Jack and Mrs Feather read a big book.

Emjay connected the lower and upper case letters together in the Ladybird Game.

Poseidon and Summer made some word puzzles.

Declan and Jayden copied some puzzle words.

It was fun learning new activities.

Welcome to Room 4

Welcome to Room 4 and 2017.  

I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your family.  

I am Miss Jess McCoy and I'm very excited about teaching the children in Room 4 this year.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the school holidays and I hope you have too. I look forward to working with you, your child and your family.
